Athens Makers seeks to build and grow together in creative and constructive learning opportunities – for fun.
Gatherings were initiated in the Summer of 2013 by Seann Dikkers and Mark Lucas, two faculty (and Dads) at Ohio University interested in creating learning and creative opportunities for their kids and other kids in the region. Over the last two summers we held a variety of workshops including Arduino workshops, a 3D Printer workshop, a Fiery Chemistry workshop, Augmented Reality Game Design, and a Carduino robot base. In addition to some of these formal workshops, we held a series of open nights where people could expand on what they were learning.
Continue to check this site out for more opportunities this summer. Contact Mark Lucas at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on any email lists or if you have any questions.
